CHAPTER SIXTY : Secrets, Promises, and Hidden Names

Kavira's chest was rising and falling heavily.

The argument had left both of them exhausted.

The parking lot was almost empty now, the cold night wind moving through the silence.

Karl stood in front of her.

For once, neither of them knew what to say.

Kavira looked at him.

"You said you tried to hate me..."

Her voice cracked.

"But why?"

Karl's jaw tightened.

"You really want the answer?"

"Yes."

"Because loving you was easier than watching you leave."

Kavira froze.

Karl laughed bitterly.

"You think these months were easy for me?"

"You never came for me."

"You never let me."

"No!" she shouted. "You never tried!"

The words hit harder than a bullet.

For a moment Karl simply stood there.

Then Kavira continued.

"I saved you because I couldn't watch you suffer."

Her eyes filled with tears.

"But I still hate what happened to my father."

She looked away.

"Even if he treated me terribly."

Karl remained silent.

Then her eyes hardened.

"And my brother?"

"What about my brother, Karl?"

"I heard that call."

"I heard everything."

Karl clenched his fists.

"Kavira—"

"No."

She stepped back.

"No explanations."

"No lies."

"No more."

She removed his hand from her wrist.

"You can go."

Then she pulled his car keys from her purse and placed them in his hand.

"I'll take a taxi."

"Goodbye, Karl."

The word goodbye terrified him.

Karl immediately stepped in front of her.

"Kavira."

"No."

"Kavira."

"I said no."

For the first time, genuine panic appeared in Karl Casanova's eyes.

The man who terrified half of Germany looked afraid.

Afraid of losing one girl.

"You can't keep walking away from me."

"Watch me."

She turned.

Karl grabbed her waist and pulled her back.

"Karl!"

"Listen to me."

"No!"

"Just one minute."

She struggled against him.

Finally Karl loosened his grip.

His voice became quieter.

"I never stopped loving you."

Silence.

"I don't know how to be a good husband."

"I don't know how to be normal."

"But I never stopped loving you."

Kavira looked away.

Because hearing those words hurt even more.

Somewhere Else...

Friedrich sat inside a dark study room.

The call connected.

"Hello."

An unfamiliar voice answered.

"See? I did what you asked."

Friedrich smirked.

"Now I know you're not using me anymore."

The man chuckled.

"Of course not."

"Now you have proof."

Friedrich leaned back.

"Fine."

"Tomorrow."

"9 AM."

"You know where to come."

"I know."

The call disconnected.

Friedrich stared at the darkness.

A rare smile appeared on his face.

The game was finally moving forward.

Aaron & Divyanka

Meanwhile...

Inside the car.

Divyanka crossed her arms.

"I'm thinking about what those two are doing right now."

Aaron laughed.

"They're probably still fighting."

"They're professional fighters."

"Oh shut up."

Divyanka rolled her eyes.

"It's always Karl's fault."

Aaron almost choked laughing.

"It is!"

Divyanka pointed a finger at him.

"Who gave Karl the right to say those things?"

"He meets Kavira after months and THAT'S what comes out of his mouth?"

Aaron was still laughing.

"Are you even listening to me?"

"Hmm?"

"AARON!"

"Yes, Babydoll."

Divyanka immediately turned red.

"Aaron Casanova!"

"What?"

"Stop calling me that!"

"No."

"Why?"

"Because you look cute when you're angry."

Divyanka grabbed a napkin and threw it at him.

Aaron caught it.

Then kissed the back of her hand.

Divyanka's face became even redder.

"You're impossible."

Aaron smiled.

"And you're adorable."

Back to Karl and Kavira

Karl opened the passenger door.

"Get in."

"No."

"Kavira."

"No."

"Please."

She blinked.

Did Karl Casanova just say please?

He sighed.

"Fine."

"You win."

"What?"

"I'll drive you home."

"I don't trust you."

"Fair."

"Very fair."

For the first time that night she almost laughed.

Almost.

A Hidden Call

Far away.

A phone rang.

Arshia answered immediately.

"Hello?"

A warm voice replied.

"Hi, sweetheart."

Arshia's eyes softened instantly.

"Dad..."

"How are you?"

"I'm good."

"I have a surprise for you."

"What surprise?"

"It's your birthday gift."

Arshia smiled.

"Dad..."

"Come home on Sunday."

"It's your birthday."

"I'll be waiting."

"I'll come."

"Good girl."

The call ended.

Arshia sat quietly.

A secret she had hidden for years was finally coming back.

Because Arshia wasn't really Arshia.

Not completely.

Her real name was...

Emilia falkenberg.

Daughter of the powerful businessman—

Wilhelm falkenberg.

Years ago, enemies had targeted their family.

To protect her, Wilhelm had secretly sent Emilia away.

She had gone to India.

Created a new identity.

A new life.

A new name.

Arshia.

Nobody knew.

Not Kavira.

Not Divyanka.

Not Aaron.

Not Damon.

Not even Friedrich.

And the biggest irony?

Neither Friedrich nor Emilia knew that Wilhelm had already arranged their future meeting.

The mysterious daughter Friedrich was supposed to meet...

Was Emilia herself.

Damon

At the mansion...

Damon looked at Arshia.

"You look happy."

"Hmm?"

"You smiled."

Arshia quickly looked away.

"Did I?"

"Yeah."

"Who called?"

"No one important."

Damon narrowed his eyes.

He knew she was hiding something.

The problem was...

He was falling harder for her every day.

And every new secret scared him.

Because sooner or later...

Secrets always destroyed people.

And this family had more secrets than love.

Far more.
