The entire company building was still shaken after Karl shot the guard.
Nobody dared breathe properly anymore.
Employees lowered their heads the moment Karl Casanova walked through the hallway holding Kavira by her wrist.
Not tightly.
But firmly enough to show ownership.
Kavira kept walking silently beside him.
Still angry.
Still shocked.
Still emotional after everything that happened downstairs.
Karl opened the cabin door and pulled her inside.
The moment the door shut—
silence.
Heavy silence.
Karl loosened his tie tiredly.
“You create chaos everywhere you go.”
Kavira crossed her arms instantly.
“Then stop hiding whole secret lives from me.”
Karl sighed softly.
Then pointed toward the couch.
“Sit.”
“No.”
“Kavira.”
“No.”
Karl looked at her for a second before smirking faintly.
“Cute.”
“Shut up.”
He chuckled quietly and walked toward the washroom attached to his office.
“I’ll be back.”
The moment the door closed—
Kavira rolled her eyes dramatically.
“This man is impossible.”
Then suddenly—
Karl’s phone vibrated on the desk.
Unknown number.
Kavira frowned.
Normally she wouldn’t touch it.
But after today?
Curiosity won.
She picked up the call silently without speaking.
And then—
“Sir.”
A man’s voice.
Cold.
Professional.
“We killed Kavira’s brother.”
Everything inside her stopped.
Completely.
The world went silent.
Her fingers slowly tightened around the phone.
Tears instantly filled her eyes.
The man continued:
“The body has been removed. No witnesses left.”
Kavira’s breathing became shaky.
Her heart dropped so violently it physically hurt.
Then the call disconnected.
Silence.
Pure silence.
Kavira slowly looked toward the washroom door.
Shock.
Pain.
Betrayal.
Again.
Her hands trembled badly.
“No…” she whispered.
Tears rolled down her cheeks instantly.
Without thinking—
she placed the phone back and ran out of the cabin.
Outside The Company
Karl came out from the washroom drying his hands casually.
Then froze.
The cabin empty.
“Kavira?”
Nothing.
His expression immediately darkened.
He walked outside quickly.
“Where is she?”
The receptionist answered nervously,
“M-Ma’am left the building, Sir.”
Karl’s jaw tightened instantly.
“Alone?”
“Yes.”
“Fuck.”
He grabbed his keys immediately and walked out.
The Chase
Rain had started again.
Kavira’s hands shook while driving.
Tears blurred her vision repeatedly.
“You lied again…” she whispered brokenly.
Traffic light.
Red signal.
She stopped the car.
And then—
another black car stopped beside hers.
Karl.
He lowered the window immediately.
“Kavira!”
She looked at him once.
Only once.
And the pain in her eyes made something inside Karl feel wrong instantly.
“Kavira what happened?”
Green light.
And suddenly—
she sped away.
Fast.
Too fast.
“KAVIRA!”
Karl immediately chased behind her.
Cars honked loudly.
Rain crashing everywhere.
Kavira wiped her tears angrily while speeding faster.
Karl followed dangerously close.
His voice echoed through the speaker when he called her phone again and again.
No answer.
“Kavira stop the damn car!”
But she didn’t.
Because all she could hear was:
“We killed Kavira’s brother.”
Meanwhile — Arshia & Damon
Inside Friedrich’s mansion—
Arshia packed her bags angrily.
Tears filled her eyes while throwing clothes inside.
“I’m so stupid,” she muttered.
The door suddenly opened.
Damon Gilbert entered quietly.
“You’re leaving?”
Arshia zipped the bag harshly.
“What does it matter to you?”
Damon grabbed her wrist gently.
Arshia immediately slapped his hand away.
“Don’t touch me.”
Damon looked hurt slightly.
“Arshia listen—”
“No YOU listen.”
Her voice cracked emotionally.
“Thank you, Mr. Damon.”
“Thank you for letting me know Friedrich doesn’t care about me even a little.”
Damon stayed quiet.
Because she was right.
Friedrich truly didn’t.
And somehow—
that made Damon angrier than it should.
“I just…” he sighed frustratedly.
“I got jealous.”
Arshia blinked.
“…Jealous?”
Damon looked away for a second before finally saying:
“Yes.”
Silence.
Then quietly:
“I kissed you because I couldn’t stand watching you love someone who looks through you like you don’t exist.”
Arshia froze.
Damon stepped closer slowly.
“I know I’m not a good person.”
“But when you smile…”
“…I forget that.”
Arshia’s heart softened slightly.
Damon looked at her carefully.
“Come with me.”
Damon’s Mansion
The mansion was quieter.
Warmer.
Less terrifying than Friedrich’s.
Arshia placed her bags down slowly.
Damon watched her silently.
Then suddenly checked his watch.
“I have to go back.”
“Where?”
“Friedrich’s rescue duty.”
Arshia rolled her eyes.
“Your friendship group is mentally ill.”
Damon laughed softly.
Then she asked quietly:
“Can you drop me to the hospital first? I’m on duty.”
Damon smiled faintly.
“Of course.”
And for the first time in weeks—
Arshia felt safe around someone.
Casanova Mansion
Kavira’s car stopped harshly near the mansion gates.
She stepped out immediately with tears still in her eyes.
And within seconds—
Karl’s car stopped behind hers.
He got out quickly.
“Kavira!”
She ignored him and started walking.
Karl blocked her path instantly.
“Why did you leave like that?”
Kavira laughed bitterly.
“Don’t act like you don’t know.”
Karl frowned.
“What are you talking about?”
“You killed my brother.”
Silence.
Karl froze.
“What?”
“I heard the call.”
Realization hit him instantly.
“Kavira no—”
“STOP LYING!”
Her voice broke completely.
“I loved you even after knowing about my father!” she cried.
“And now you’re lying again?”
Karl grabbed her shoulders desperately.
“I did NOT kill your brother.”
“STOP MANIPULATING ME!”
“KAVIRA LISTEN TO ME!”
“No!”
Karl suddenly pulled her into his arms tightly.
Forcefully.
Like he was scared she’d disappear.
“I won’t let you walk away believing this.”
Kavira pushed against him angrily.
“Stay away from me!”
“No.”
“Karl let GO!”
“No!”
SLAP.
The sound echoed loudly.
Karl’s face turned slightly to the side from the force.
Silence.
Everyone nearby froze.
Even the servants stopped moving.
Kavira’s chest heaved painfully.
Tears falling nonstop.
Then suddenly—
a maid approached nervously with luggage.
“Ma’am…” she whispered softly,
“you called earlier and told me to pack your things.”
Karl slowly looked at the suitcase.
Then back at Kavira.
And for the first time—
actual panic appeared in his eyes.
Kavira grabbed the luggage.
“I’m leaving.”
“No.”
“I’m leaving, Karl.”
He stepped closer instantly.
“You are not walking away like this.”
She looked directly into his eyes.
“I don’t know who you are anymore.”
That sentence destroyed him more than the slap.
Karl’s voice lowered dangerously.
“You’re emotional right now.”
Kavira laughed through tears.
“No.”
“I’m heartbroken.”
She tried walking past him.
Karl grabbed her wrist immediately.
“Kavira please.”
Please.
The word shocked everyone.
Because Karl Casanova never begged.
Ever.
But Kavira slowly removed his hand from her wrist.
And whispered brokenly:
“You were my home.”
“And now I’m scared of living in it.”
Then she walked away.
And Karl stood there in the rain—
watching his entire world leave him again.
