CHAPTER FOURTY-EIGHT: My Way To Heaven Is With You

Chapter — My Way To Heaven Is With You

The storm outside was merciless.

Rain crashed against the private military jets cutting through the dark sky.

Inside one of them—

Karl Casanova sat completely silent.

Gun in his hand.

Blood on his knuckles.

Eyes cold enough to terrify death itself.

Beside him, Aaron Casanova checked the tracking devices repeatedly.

But unlike Karl—

Aaron’s fear stayed hidden.

Quiet.

Internal.

Because if anyone looked carefully—

his hands were shaking slightly.

Not from anger.

From fear.

Fear for Divyanka.

Because Aaron Casanova would burn himself alive before letting something happen to her.

The communication device suddenly beeped.

“Target located.”

Karl stood immediately.

“Move.”

Emergency Landing Site

The hijacked plane had stopped near an abandoned airstrip hidden between mountains.

Friedrich’s men surrounded the area.

Weapons ready.

Engines loud.

The storm making everything worse.

Inside the plane—

Kavira looked weak against the seat while Divyanka stayed beside her protectively.

Friedrich stood near the cockpit calmly.

Then suddenly—

BOOM.

An explosion outside.

The entire plane shook violently.

Passengers screamed.

Friedrich smiled slowly.

“They’re here.”

Gunshots exploded everywhere instantly.

Masked men ran outside.

Chaos.

Blood.

Screams.

And through all of it—

Karl Casanova walked directly through the smoke like death itself.

Every man in front of him fell within seconds.

No hesitation.

No mercy.

Only rage.

Aaron entered from the other side with his men.

Searching desperately.

“DIVYANKA!”

Divyanka immediately looked up.

“Aaron!”

The moment Aaron saw her—

something inside him finally breathed again.

He rushed toward her instantly.

“You okay?”

Divyanka blinked.

“You look scared.”

Aaron grabbed her face suddenly.

Checking for injuries desperately.

“Did they touch you?”

“Are you hurt?”

“Did anyone—”

Divyanka froze slightly.

Because Aaron never panicked.

Never.

Yet right now—

his eyes looked terrified.

Softly, she held his wrist.

“I’m okay.”

Aaron closed his eyes briefly.

Thank God.

Meanwhile—

Karl entered the cabin.

And froze.

Because there she was.

Kavira.

Weak.

Pale.

Alive.

The oxygen mask near her face.

Her eyes slowly lifted toward him.

“Karl…”

That one word destroyed him completely.

He crossed the distance within seconds and pulled her into his arms carefully.

Too carefully.

Like she would break.

Kavira instantly buried her face against his chest tightly.

And suddenly—

all the fear she held back exploded.

She started crying.

“I thought…” she whispered shakily,

“…you wouldn’t come.”

Karl held her tighter instantly.

“I would burn the world before leaving you behind.”

Kavira cried harder hearing that.

Then slowly—

she looked up at him.

Tears in her eyes.

“Karl…”

“Hm?”

“My way to heaven is with you.”

Silence.

Even the chaos outside faded for a second.

Kavira held his hand weakly.

“I’m not mad at you for shooting my father.”

Karl froze.

“Yes I’m sad I lost him…” she whispered painfully,

“but I understand now.”

Her fingers tightened around his slightly.

“You thought he was my stepfather.”

Karl stared at her silently.

And for the first time in a very long time—

he looked vulnerable.

Kavira smiled faintly through tears.

“I forgave you.”

Karl’s throat tightened painfully.

Then she whispered softly:

“Will you forgive me too…?”

“For going to India without telling you?”

Karl looked at her for a long moment.

Then gently pressed his forehead against hers.

And quietly said:

“I hope after I die… I go to heaven too.”

“So I could see you once again, my love.”

Kavira broke down crying completely after hearing that.

Because for a man like Karl Casanova—

that was a confession deeper than love.

Meanwhile — Friedrich

Outside the plane—

Friedrich Casanova stood beside his car watching the rescue silently.

Damon Gilbert beside him.

“You’re letting them go?” Damon asked quietly.

Friedrich smirked faintly.

“No.”

“Then?”

Friedrich looked toward Karl holding Kavira.

“I’m letting them love harder.”

Damon frowned.

“What?”

Friedrich’s eyes darkened.

“Because the deeper the love…”

“…the deadlier the destruction.”

Then suddenly—

someone ran toward Friedrich.

Arshia.

Completely soaked in rain.

“FRIEDRICH!”

Friedrich blinked slowly.

“…How did you even get here?”

Arshia hugged him tightly instantly.

“You’re alive.”

Friedrich stood completely still.

Awkwardly.

Like a man unfamiliar with affection.

Damon watched silently.

And something sharp twisted inside his chest.

Jealousy.

Real jealousy.

Because somehow—

the stupid, loud, emotional girl had entered his heart too deeply.

And now watching her hug another man felt unbearable.

Friedrich slowly pushed Arshia away slightly.

“You’re insane.”

Arshia smiled proudly.

“But you still kidnapped me.”

Friedrich looked tired instantly.

Damon burst out laughing loudly nearby.

Back In The Jet

Kavira slept against Karl’s chest while medical staff checked her condition carefully.

Divyanka sat opposite them while Aaron cleaned blood from her hand silently.

“You know,” Divyanka said softly,

“you really looked scared.”

Aaron didn’t answer.

Divyanka smirked slightly.

“Aww.”

Aaron looked at her calmly.

“If you died…”

His voice lowered dangerously.

“…I would’ve killed every person on that plane.”

Divyanka’s smile slowly faded.

Because he meant it.

Completely.

Then suddenly—

Kavira moved weakly in sleep.

Karl immediately looked down at her.

“Easy.”

Even unconscious—

she held his shirt tightly.

Like her body recognized safety only in him now.

Aaron watched quietly.

Then finally asked:

“What now?”

Karl looked outside the jet window silently.

Storms still everywhere.

Friedrich still alive.

Enemies growing.

Danger closer than ever.

But despite all that—

for the first time in months—

Kavira was back in his arms.

And somehow—

that felt enough.

For now.
