Few Days After the Incident — Casanova Hospital
Karl stood in the director’s office, hands resting on the desk, calm in the most terrifying way.
Aaron was beside him, silent.
The doctor stood across, pale.
“You forced my wife to speak,” Karl said flatly.
“She bled.”
“I was following protocol—” the doctor started.
Karl raised one hand.
“Protocol ends where consent ends.”
He slid a file across the desk.
“Effective immediately, your license is revoked from every hospital under Casanova Group.”
“Your access cards are blocked. Your name is blacklisted.”
The doctor’s breath hitched.
“You won’t practice medicine again,” Karl added coldly.
“Not in Germany. Not anywhere my reach exists.”
Aaron finally spoke, voice sharp.
“And trust me,” he said, “his reach is global.”
The doctor tried to plead.
Karl didn’t listen.
“Get out.”
And that chapter ended.
The Function — Where Silence Was Mistaken for Shame~
A week later
The ballroom shimmered with gold and crystal lights.
An important event.
Too important to miss.
Karl’s arm was firm around Kavira’s waist, grounding her as they entered.
Her heart pounded.
People turned.
Whispers followed.
That’s Karl Casanova.
That’s his wife.
Karl’s friends approached—men in tailored suits, their wives draped in elegance.
“Congratulations on your success, Karl,” one man said warmly.
Another woman smiled at Kavira.
“It’s lovely to finally meet you.”
Kavira’s lips parted.
Nothing came out.
Her throat tightened.
She nodded politely instead, offering a small smile.
The women exchanged glances.
Awkward silence.
Then—
One of the wives laughed softly, not kind.
“She’s so shameless,” the woman said aloud.
“Doesn’t even respond when spoken to.”
The words hit Kavira like a slap.
Her eyes lowered.
Her fingers tightened around Karl’s sleeve.
She looked up at him.
Not to complain.
Not to cry.
Just—help me.
Karl’s jaw clenched.
The air around him changed.
He slowly turned toward the woman.
“Say that again,” Karl said quietly.
The woman blinked, startled.
“I—I just meant—”
“My wife,” Karl interrupted, voice deadly calm,
“lost her voice after nearly dying.”
Silence crashed into the room.
“She doesn’t speak,” he continued, eyes locked on hers,
“not because she’s shameless—
but because she survived something your mind wouldn’t handle for a minute.”
The woman’s face drained of color.
Karl stepped closer.
“And since you clearly lack basic decency,” he said,
“you won’t be standing anywhere near us again.”
The husband stammered, “Karl, she didn’t know—”
“That’s the problem,” Karl snapped.
“She spoke without knowing.”
He turned to Kavira, his expression softening instantly.
He lifted her hand and pressed a kiss to her knuckles.
“You don’t owe anyone your voice,” he said gently.
“Your presence is more than enough.”
Kavira’s eyes filled with tears.
The women around them looked away, ashamed.
Karl wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
“To be clear,” he announced to everyone listening,
“anyone who disrespects my wife—
disrespects me.”
No one dared speak.
Karl leaned down, forehead touching Kavira’s.
“You’re safe,” he whispered.
“I’ll always speak for you—until the day you choose to speak again.”
he nodded, trembling.
And in that glittering room full of noise—
Karl became her voice.
